About Repairs
Each pipe requires a different level of care and service depending on the repair needed. Therefor the prices shown are listed as a guideline only. Before any work is started, if the cost will be more than 10% of the expected quote, an e-mail will be sent to confirm.

As with the repairs I do on estate pipes I sell, I take the utmost care in rejuvenating and restoring your pipe back to as close to original condition as possible. Sometimes however defects in a pipe only appear during the restoration process. Due to this, combined with the sensitive nature of pipe materials, all responsibility is with the owner for any damage done to a pipe during the repair process. In the event that any undisclosed breakage or cracks are discovered, the repair will be stopped and the owner contacted on how to proceed with the requested repairs.
All pipes mailed back to you will include insurance. It is strongly recommended that when mailing a pipe for repair or rejuvenation that insurance coverage is purchased for your courier of choice. Stem and Briar LLC. will not be held responsible for any lost package or damage to any contents by the shipping company coming to or returning from my shop.
For estimation purposes a USPS Small Flat rate box with handling is approximately $8.65 insured within the United States, and $16.95 Internationally. On average, this sized box can hold up to 3 pipes depending on their size and shape.
Stem and Briar LLC is does not have a traditional storefront, and nearly all our business is conducted online and via mail shipments. I would however be happy to assist you locally by appointment both for purchasing pipes, or pipe repairs.
